The new Walther PPS is the latest innovation from Walther firearms. State of the art materials and manufacturing combined with precision German engineering make the Walther PPS a compact, lightweight DAO (Double Action Only) firearm for personal defense.
Starting with a lightweight polymer frame and adding a precision crafted steel slide and barrel, the Walther PPS is an optimal concealed carry pistol. With an overall length of 6.3”, a height of 4.4”, an amazingly narrow width of 1.04" the PPS and a weight of just 20.8 ounces (without the magazine), the Walther PPS is the perfect pistol for concealed carry, back-up or off-duty carry. The compact size and weight of the Walther PPS coupled with its powerful calibers place it in contention with heavier less powerful “mouse guns” where the choice should be easy. Why carry 6 rounds of 32 or 380 ACP when you can have a Walther PPS in 40S&W?
The Walther PPS is available in the formidable 40S&W caliber. The Walther PPS in 40 S&W accepts 6 round magazines. Each Walther PPS is shipped with a large and small removable backstrap to better fit the PPS to the individual user.
Gun companies are always trying to make firearms safer and Walther is no exception. The Walther PPS incorporates a new feature called “Quicksafe Safety”. Simply removing the backstrap from the PPS renders it incapable of firing until the backstrap is replaced. Making a firearm safe has never been so easy. In addition to the “Quicksafe Safety,” Walther PPS pistols incorporate both a trigger safety and an internal striker safety to help prevent an accidental discharge from impact.
Standard features on the Walther PPS include ambidextrous magazine release, loaded chamber indicator, and a cocking indicator on the rear of the slide. Each PPS pistol is shipped with1 magazine and both small and large backstraps.

I Purchased one of the 1st Pk-380''s to come into Town on 10-15-09. I traded my Ruger LCP in on it because of the long trigger pull & lack of accuracy that I did NOT like.. This Walther is one of the Most Accurate pistols that I own & it Ranks up there with my Sig''s & Gold Cup!!! The PK has the Hammer that I Prefer on my Pistols because of Double action 1st shot, then a light 2Lb trigger pull until your clip it empty. This helps with Accuracy at long distance shots or up close..

I just bought the Walther PPS .40 cal. I have read many reveiws and many of then say that the Walther PPS is broken in after around 400 rounds. I have had the chance to fire my first 150 rounds today. I spent about 30 minutes at the range with two 7 round magazines. I had not one failure. Gun performed beautiful. After about 75 rounds I took the slide out and inspected the barrel and components. Everything looked great. Nive and clean. After all 150 rounds were fired I felt the gun start to break in and I began to get a real feel for the gun. Very Nice Gun.

A welcome addition to my family of Walthers. Perfect concealed carry, fits my hand like a driving glove, and those 40s fit a tight group like a competition pistol. It performed flawlessly from the first clip and is now my favorite. It''s going to take a week to get the smile off my face. Michael O''Brien
